Adequate community knowledge regarding hypertension risk factors is essential for effective prevention and control. This study aimed to describe the level of community knowledge regarding hypertension risk factors among patients attending Puskesmas Sentosa Baru. This study employed a descriptive quantitative design with a cross- sectional approach. A total of 51 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire assessing knowledge of hypertension definition, risk factors, symptoms, and prevention. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented as frequencies and percentages. The results showed that most respondents were elderly (62.7%) and female (64.7%). Approximately 70.6% of respondents correctly identified the definition of hypertension. However, unhealthy behaviors were still prevalent, including high salt and fat consumption (80.4%) and lack of regular physical activity (72.5%). A family history of hypertension was reported by 74.5% of respondents. In conclusion, community knowledge regarding hypertension was relatively adequate, but this knowledge was not consistently reflected in healthy lifestyle practices. Strengthening health education programs focusing on behavioral change is necessary to improve hypertension prevention at the primary care level. ER -
