Exposure to air pollution due to human activities, one of which is through the use of mosquito coils, has the potential to cause health problems. Mosquito coils containing pyrethroid derivatives, such as allethrin, are known to produce free radicals. This objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of the duration of exposure to mosquito coil smoke on the histopathological picture of the lungs of male white rats of the Wistar strain (Rattus norvegicus). True Experimental is a method used with Post-Test Only Control Group Design. A total of 24 male Wistar rats were divided into four treatment groups, each of which was exposed to mosquito coil smoke for 21 days. Assessment of the degree of lung histopathological damage was carried out using the lung histology damage score. The results of the Kruskal-Wallis test showed significant differences between groups (p <0.001). The Mann-Whitney further test also showed significant results in all treatment groups (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study shows that the duration of exposure affects the level of lung histopathological damage, with the most severe damage found in the group exposed for the longest time.
