Background: Early marriage is still a serious social problem in Indonesia, especially among young women. In Purwoharjo Village, Karangtengah District, Wonogiri Regency, this case is relatively high and is often associated with promiscuity and low education. This study aims to analyze the relationship between attitudes towards promiscuity and the incidence of early marriage. Research Methods: This study used a quantitative analytical approach with a nested case-control design on 72 respondents (36 early marriages and 36 non-early marriages). Data analysis used the Chi-square. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between attitudes towards free association and the incidence of early marriage (p = 0.001; OR = 0.144; 95% CI: 0.046–0.455), where adolescents with negative attitudes towards free association had a seven times higher risk of early marriage (1/OR = 6,94 ≈ 7). Conclusion: all of this emphasizes the importance of education and guidance for adolescents regarding healthy social interactions in order to prevent early marriage.
